A total of 20 dressage stallions were yesterday presented under saddle at the first day of the performance test
All stallions were originally accepted for the performance test from the main stallion licensing either earlier this year or last year, but differently from all other breeding societies this day also became the final day at the testing for some of the stallions, as the licensing commission once again did a selection like wise the stallions had to pass the vet check, and this time only 14 out of 20 stallions were accepted for the performance testing.
The most interesting stallion from the pedigree was definitely the black stallion with the name Nolegro. He is by Painted Black out a full sister of Valegro.
Nolegro brings an active well balanced trot, a super canter and very nice supple walk with good over track. And it is quite obvious that Nolegro brings the strong and active hindlegs from the impact of Ferro as both the sire Painted Black (Gribaldi/Ferro) and of course also from the dam by (Negro - Ferro/Variant) brings the Ferro blood. Type wise not the most modern stallion, but for the breeders with focus on the sport this is for sure a stallion to keep an eye on.
Both Premium stallions Nivaro by For Ferrero / Charmeur and Next Level by Jarville / Prestige VDL also looked good at the presentation. Next Level brings a lovely expressive type with a quick off the ground trot with lots of knee action, good for some moments bit unabalanced walk and superb well balanced uphill canter.
Newton TC by Jerveaux / Dream Boy is at the moment not really a stallion type but well moving and in front of the riders aides (presented by Adelinde Cornelissen). Good rhythm for the trot but lack more under the gravity, super supple walk and good canter.
