Three young Grand Prix horses with top performances at national event at Wickrath
Wickrath was ready with a small event with just 5 classes this weekend. And for international rider Patrik Kittel it was a really nice way to test his young upcoming stars after very long time just training at home.
Saturday was debut at Intermediaire II level for Swedish bred 9 year old Touchdown by Quaterback / Sack with impressive 79,386%. No exercise weaknesses and a very attractive side picture all the way. Still lacking more strength for the passage and transitions, but for sure a natural talent for piaffe with a very lovely sit and balance.
Sunday with first and second in Short Grand Prix
Back in March 2020 Patrik Kittel purchased the now 9 year old mare Forever Young HRH by Fürst Fugger / from Caroline Burema. Burema has successfully competed the mare at small tour level. Power off the ground with lot of quality all the way, still a bit green for the piaffe tours at the spot. Immediate impression - the modern and better mover edition of Weihegold OLD. Forever Young is co-owned by Arlette Jasper (owner of Sezuan). 78,023%
2nd placed today also Kittel. This time with 11 year old stallion Bonamour by Bonifatius / Rousseau owned by Helgstrand Dressage. Also here with overall very nice qualities with big quality series and expressive piaffe. 76.550%.
