Not at single seat free and more chairs were brought in for the audience. Already one hour before the stallion show started people were settled and ready.
Ole Magnus, manager of Blue Hors welcomed everyone.
As usual Danish Warmblood manager Casper Cassøe was at the microphone with all informations about the horses during the show.
First horse in the arena was Blue Hors Zackerey by Blue Hors Zack / Sandro Hit with top rider Nanna Skodborg Merrald in the saddle. A fairly new partnership, and with Zackerey now turning 9 years old it will be interesting to follow his hopefully further development together with Nanna. A very harmonious combination.
From the you stallions 4 year old Blue Hors Luton by La Vie / Bretton Woods is a modern very expressive stallion with a lovely front and three good paces. Will be interesting to see his development.
Rider Marie Witt Poulsen, who is normally not part of team Blue Hors, but as young horse rider Tanja Rusovic was busy testing stallions in Norway for their licensing, Marie agreed on showing the 3 year old stallions, and she did a great job.
Blue Hors Farrell is still ridden by Nanna Merrald, but from a sportive perspective Farrell will presumably not enter the Grand Prix level, but of course still a great small tour horse. As a worthy successor is the 4 year old Feinstar by Blue Hors Farrell / Bon A´Parte. He shows himself as a clearly better version of Farrell. A gorgeous filly be Feinstar / Zack / Romanov was presented in the arena. Super lightfooted, very expressive and well moving of the ground.
The top star Blue Hors St. Schufro was like Blue Hors Don Olymbrio presented at the big screen, and as a clear highlight of the evening came the 4 year old mare, Lygum´s Zalina by Blue Hors St. Schufro / Blue Hors Zack. This mare was last year awarded with a silvermedal at Danish Warmblood Elite Mare Show, now presented under Young Horse World Champion Victoria Vallentin - WHAT a combination, might be the next World Champions (check out the video clip here below). International rider Anna Zibrandtsen was showing her high quality 11 year old Grand Prix horse UNO Don Olympic by Blue Hors Don Olymbrio / Del Piero.
The next clear Grand Prix stallion under Nanna Merrald look like 6 year old Blue Hors Santiano by Sezuan / Blue Hors Romanov. Nanna recently took over the ride from Dutch Renate van Uytert, and showed him in Herning for the stallion show for the first time. A strong stallion showing good basic gaits, super flying changes and ability to both sit and collect. For sure a combination to keep an eye on.
Beeder of the year
German Bernhard Sieverding became breeder of the year with Blue Hors Zepter, presented by hand as he in a few days are on his way with Nanna Merrald to the World Cup final in Omaha, and also the mare Bonsai by Blue Hors Baron, likewise the young stallion Blue Hors Luton by La Vie. An impressive list of horses, with Blue Hors Zepter as the top icing of the cake.
“Simply the Best”
19 year old Blue Hors Zack and Nanna Merrald was of the final of the stallion show. Beautiful beautiful accompanied by Christine Prip, international 3* judge and working at Danish Warmblood administration.
The program was of course with more stallions including honouring of successful breeders.
