Derby Stars von Morgen is a serie combined with U25 riders (with older horses) and young talented GP horses 8-12 year old. The best 8 combinations from the this half final are qualified for the finals together with the 8 best from Southern Germany for the final, taking place at Agravis Cup in Münster January 2025.
9 yr old mare Shiva by Sir Heinrich / Fürst Grandios with Nadine Plaster took the victory in the half final with 71,237%. The winner of the preliminary round Saturday Lord Europe and Leonie Richter were not at start Sunday among the 12 best qualified for the half final.
As from the preliminary round where Shiva and Nadine were placed 2nd they showed some really nice qualities for the future, clear passage of the ground, nice sit and balance for piaffe with easy transitions, still missing bit more strength, nice two times and still not fully settled for the 1 times as an error was creeping into both preliminary round and final qualifier. Easy effortless overall performances.

Comments from Christoph Hess: “Actually was the ride already finished for me when you came into the arena, relaxed, overview, suppleness and harmony. A pleasure to watch with first halt as a very nice business card, it doesn´t get any better. Soft halt, soft transitions. It´s a young horse, we may not forget it´s a 9 yr old mare at GP level, a GP bit easier than international GP but still with all the exercises. The mare like she here goes top happy, always steady tail (which actually not was the exact picture for the pi/pa tours), always steady mouth, Nadine thats the way it must look like. The only small thing was the one time changes, a small technical challenge, but at the end you´ve got the rhytmn again, and the final changes were then nice again. This sense of well-being, is for me classic dressage at highest level. Such a combination is for sure one for the future.”
