Verden. For the first time, dressage horses ready to compete were auctioned inVerden. The collection of the Verden Auction High Level included 20 horses,most of which had already achieved success in the dressage arena. The top-priced horse was Vision, who was sold for 123,000 euros.

‘This is a format that customers want and have responded well to,’ said auctioneer Bernd Hickert. The dressage horses, between five and twelve years of age, were sent to Verden with their trainers and presented there by them. Depending on the level of training and quality, different starting bids were called for.

The first horse in the auction attracted the greatest interest. The nine-year-old Vitalis/Werther son Vision (breeder: Ludger Emke, Cloppenburg, exhibitor: Rhenania Pferde GmbH, Essen) came seventh in the 2022 Bundeschampionat. Last year, the impressive chestnut, who is 1.77 metres tall, achieved his first victory at S level with Ann-Christin Wienkamp. A regular customer from Hamburg made her vision come true by purchasing him for 123,000 euros and can now call the chestnut her own.

The second-place finisher in the statistics will also move into a box in the Hamburg area. Fincenzo, born in 2018 by For Dance/Destano (breeder.: Kurt Bolte, Syke-Okel, exhibitor: Hendrik Bolte-Oestmann, Syke-Okel), cost 115,000 euros. Julia Bolte has successfully presented the shiny black stallion in dressage horse tests up to medium (M) level in the past two years. Fincenzos' pedigree includes the legendary DLGChampion Mare St.Pr.St. Goldlady, with whom Julia Bolte's grandfather Heinrich celebrated countless show successes.

The net revenue for the 20 horses of the Verden High Level auction exceeded theone million euro mark, totalling 1,132,000 euros. Six horses will leave Germany.
