Desperado (Vivaldi x Havidoff) and Emmelie Scholtens have prolonged their winning streak in the CDI3* presented by Helgstrand dressage at theL ongines FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo. A score of 76.55% secured the Dutch combination another victory in the Grand Prix Freestyle to music.
“The feeling was the same as Wednesday”, Emmelie kicks off. “I love the freestyle of Indian Rock with the Formula 1 music, but I noticed Desperado had to get used to it every now and then. It did not matter though, because we had a lot of fun”, she smiles. Right after the test, the 16-year-old KWPN stallion is completely at ease again, one of his strong suits according to Emmelie. “He is truly the sweetest horse in all of the Netherlands, perhaps even in the world”.
The runner-up of the class was Charlotte Fry aboard her grey gelding Especial (Everdale x Vivaldi), bred and owned by Van Olst Horses, accumulating a score of 75.68%. In doing so, the British rider made a big leap in the rankings after her tenth place on Thursday. The podium was completed by Hereja Higgins (Johnson x I.P.S. Gribaldi) and the French rider Camille Judet Jeret whose freestyle performance was rewarded with 75.45%.
